Patience Pays Off In Boston
Another great radio success story, this one from Greater Media in Boston. WMJX-FM is promoting afternoon host/APD Candy O’Terry to the morning show with Mike Addams. O’Terry joined WMJX-FM in 1990 as a secretary to the PD and worked her way up the ranks to become the APD and afternoon drive co-host. Now, she's part of the morning team. O'Terry will continue to be heard Sunday mornings as host of the station’s nationally acclaimed and award-winning program, Exceptional Women.
O'Terry said, "I think I had a dream about this when I first got started in radio and now it's coming true. I'm so grateful to Peter Smyth and Greater Media for growing me over the last 22 years and to Rob Williams and Cadillac for recognizing my on-air talent. Co-hosting morning drive on the station I love with a legend like Mike Addams? That's the icing on the cake. Now…if I could just get used to that 3:30 a.m. wake-up call, I'll be all set!”
