Are Consumers Done With Online Coupons?
Groupon posted a larger-than-expected fourth-quarter loss Wednesday and a weaker-than-expected revenue outlook fueling speculation that consumers may be tiring of online coupons. Groupon reported a loss of $81.1 million in Q4 of 2012 despite a jump in revenue of 30% to $638.3 million. A year earlier Groupon reported a loss of only $65.4 million. For Q1 Groupon expects revenue of $560 million while analysts were expecting $646 million.
