Glenn Ordway Is Out At WEEI In Boston

2-13-2013

Entercom sports talker WEEI has announced Glenn Ordway's last day at the station will be Friday. Ordway was the co-host of the afternoon show with Michael Holley (2PM-6PM) and is a Boston sports icon. Boston.com is reporting that Mike Salk, a Boston native who has co-hosted a program on 710 ESPN in Seattle since 2009, will be Ordway's replacement. Entercom is expected to make a formal announcement in a few days.

Entercom VP of Programming Jason Wolfe said, "Glenn and I have been together since day one. He is an icon in this business and he helped build WEEI into arguably the most successful sports station in history. I'm so thankful to have been able to work alongside Glenn for the past 20-plus years and I hope that all Boston sports fans realize how important his contributions have been to this station, to the market, and to this industry. He's a true professional and that was clearer than ever in his comments today."
