Why Defamation is Hard to Prove

Was Todd Schnitt's wife a public figure or simply someone who got got in the cross-fire of a Radio War between Bubba and Schnitt? The prosecution is trying to claim she was part of Schnitt's show, having appeared doing, among other things, a weekly review of the TV show Melrose Place. The defense says she had not been on Schnitt's show for years and was busy at home taking care of her family. Here's a case, equally as vulgar as this one, that proves how hard it is to prove defamation.
