The Radio Reality Show Takes A Crazy Turn

Bubba the Love Sponge couldn't have had better material for his show if he paid a staff of 50 comedians. And it was his "Army" that provided him the morning show ammunition that he milked until he walked into the courtroom Thursday to find out he could head right back home.
One of Bubba's fans called into the show early Thursday morning and told Bubba that Todd MJ Schnitt's lead attorney, Phil Campbell, seen here in his mug shot, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence. At first everyone thought it was a joke. But it's true and it simply adds to an already weird case in Tampa, Florida.
Campbell was kept overnight in county jail and the trial was postponed for the day. It allowed Bubba's team to pull out old drunken bits about Campbell and fire them off one after another. That's because this was the second DUI arrest for the attorney in the past five years. They even had a recording of what sounded like the attorney unable to cite the alphabet. Outside the courthouse, Bubba's attorney Stephen Diaco told Channel 10 , "My partner and Greg Hearing were working on this trial last night. Phil didn't seem to be doing the same and now we're being penalized for it."
