Liberty Goes Over 50% Mark With Sirius XM

Not unexpected with the plans to take control of SiriusXM, John Malone's Liberty Media bought another 50 million shares in SiriusXM Radio, raising its stake above 50 percent control. The purchase comes after Liberty received approval from the Federal Communications Commission to take control of Sirius. Liberty said it would do so within 60 days, by electing new board members.
