Pandora Continues to Take Radio Listeners
Pandora released December listening numbers and, as it has every month since it began releasing these numbers, the company says it has increased its share of "total U.S. radio listening." The company now says is has 7.19 percent of total radio listening. In November, that number was 7.09 percent, and in October the number was 6.55 percent. Without a reliable system in place to accurately compare Pandora to radio's total audience, there is no way to verify those numbers. Pandora also said listening hours in December were 1.39 billion, compared to 1.27 billion in November.
