Four Dothan Stations Changing Hands

12-14-2012

Jones And Mulé Communications says it has an option to purchase agreement for WECB-FM, WESP-FM, WLDA-FM, and WBBK-FM in Dothan, Alabama. On December 5, JAMCO took over the management of the stations under an LMA. WECB-FM, WESP-FM, and WLDA-FM are currently owned by Bob Holladay and Alabama Media. WBBK-FM is owned by Alabama Media Investments.

Jones and Mulé also own Low Country Radio, LLC of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, operator of WLHH-FM (104.9 The Surf). They recently sold WVBS-AM and a low-power FM translator in Beaufort, South Carolina.

WBBK-FM operates with 50,000 watts, WECB-FM, WESP-FM, and WLDA-FM each broadcast with 25,000 watts of power. All four stations cover Southwest Georgia, the Florida Panhandle, and Southeast Alabama. JAMCO is owned by Hilton Head, SC resident, C.J. Jones, Managing Partner and CEO, and Joe Mulé Partner and COO with offices at 2 Corpus Christi Place, Suite A-100, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Financing was managed by Divakar Kamath of Dallas, Texas.

Carl Strandell is the exclusive Broker in the transaction.
