Shakeup At Clear Channel Riverside
Radio Ink has learned that long-time Riverside/San Bernardino Market Manager Bob Ridzak and veteran programmer Jesse Duran were both let go by the company yesterday. A call to the station confirmed they were both gone. It was Ridzak's second stint in the market. Both were at least 10-year veterans of that cluster. We left a message on Ridzak's cell phone but have not heard back. Clear Channel owns three AMs and three FMs in the market.

John's comment on Scott is 100 percent accurate, and Rick, I couldn't agree with you more with regards to Bob Ridzak, that his only mistake was keeping Scott for so long, as in the end, this basically cost Bob his job. If CC ever lets go of Scott, I highly doubt any of the other major stations in the market will ever hire him, and if they do, for sure he won't last.

I certainly am a witness of what type of GSM Scott Welsh has been, and therefore, can confirm the negative comments on him. He spends most of his time on the computer talking to his buddies about his real passion, cycling, while his sales assistants do all the work. His sales meetings are boring, uninspiring, unmotivating, and worse, a real waste of time! Jonh's comment is 100 percent true!!

Wow!!! 99.99% are bashing Scott!!! That should tell everyone what kind of wanna be manager he is. Ive worked with few managers in radio and all I have to say are good things. If he was a good manager at least 50% of the comments were positive about him. It's a shame a good station with lots potential is ran by a clueless GSM! Bob was a good GM. The only mistake he made in his career was to keep that Douche bag Scott ad a GSM

I honestly think that Scott talks way more than any girl; someone has to tell him to talk less and listen more. It amazes me to see how a company as big as Clear Channel has not learned yet that they are paying for a GSM position with $0.00 ROI. My guess is, CC has tons of cash to throw away. All the good sales people at KGGI have left on their own because of this guy; that should say something..
