Radio's Revenue Secrets Revealed Tomorrow

For the past two years, Clear Channel CEO Bob Pittman has been on a mission making calls on advertising partners. He's asking for more than just an order. He's been asking for "marketing assignments for radio" that will foster stronger ties and a deeper marketing partnership between radio and clients. Radio has been getting too many crumbs from advertisers, for far too long. Radio Ink's Forecast has been focused on getting radio to the next revenue level, claiming a bigger share of the total advertising pie. Tomorrow in New York City the plan to grow our revenue begins.

Translating radio's powerful audience reach and its ability to get consumers in the door into power at the negotiating table means everyone has to raise the level of their game. That includes using the metrics and providing the kind of marketing that agencies demand in today's more sophisticated media world. Pittman says, "We need to reconsider how we think about advertising partners if we are going to ever get our fair share." We are lucky enough to have Pittman as one of our co-chairs for Forecast 13. Tomorrow Pittman will share some of the insights he's gained and explain what the industry needs to do in an increasingly crowded competitive field to capture an upper hand and a bigger across the board share of tomorrow's dollars.

Radio Ink's Forecast is the radio industry's exclusive financial conference, gathering radio owners, CEOs, CFOs, group executives, and managers with Wall Street and private equity investors and analysts to forecast the upcoming year. Well informed and noted economic, political, and media participants present trends, opportunities, projections, and analytical commentary on the state of business, especially as it impacts media. Now in its 10th year, Forecast has become the premium event in radio financial circles. The event is held at the Harvard Club in New York City.

Immediately following Forecast, Radio Ink's "40 Most Powerful People in Radio" are honored at an exclusive, invitation-only reception, also at the Harvard Club. Forecast attendees will get the exclusive opportunity to mingle with these industry luminaries. Only registered conference attendees are guaranteed invitations to this premier networking after-party. Attendance is limited to 200.
