Ingraham Confirms Split With TRN
As anticipated in a report by Radio Ink on Monday, Laura Ingraham confirmed on her website Tuesday that she is leaving Talk Radio Network, her syndicator of nine years. In a blog post at www.lauraingraham.com, Ingraham writes, "I feel the time is right to expand and retool my radio program and to explore other syndication options, which I am now actively pursuing." The show will be off the air for what Ingraham called a "brief hiatus."
Dial Global is under contract with TRN for Ingraham's show, which has more than 300 affiliates. In August, TRN filed an anti-trust lawsuit against Dial Global. In September, Michael Savage left TRN and later signed with Cumulus. We reached out to TRN CEO Mark Masters Monday evening about the Ingraham issue, and have not heard back.
