2012 Hits NPR Hard in Wallet

Current.org says that after reporting a $2.4 million profit in 2011, NPR posted an operating deficit of $6.2 million for fiscal 2012, which included being down on corporate sponsorships $8.6 million from goal. NPR lost one of its biggest underwriters in 2012, Ally Bank. The report says that high turnover - or churn - among corporate clients cut into NPR's bottom line. Here's a link to the full story.
