Fink Named President of WRIP in Windham

11-6-2012

Jay Fink has been promoted to President of Mountaintop radio station WRIP 97.9 FM in Windham and Hunter and its satellites at 97.5 FM in the Hudson Valley and 104.5 FM in Stamford. Fink's career at WRIP began while he was still VP of Sales & Marketing for Northeast One Stop, a national music software distributor in Albany back in 1999.

Fink took a day off to be attend the Grand Opening ceremonies as Edwin G. “Doc” Mulbury, MD and founders Guy Patrick Garraghan and Dennis Jackson cut the ribbon to inaugurate the new station. From that day forward Fink was regularly heard, especially on weekends during the popular “Rip Retro Saturday Nights” oldies show. He was finally recruited out of the music business and joined the station fulltime in November 2002, later becoming Vice-President and assuming the duties of General Manager and morning host after the unfortunate passing of Mr. Garraghan in November 2010.
