Cell Tower Issues Only Improve Slightly

On Tuesday the FCC reported 25% of the towers in the path of Hurricane Sandy were down. As of yesterday, that number only improved to 20%. FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski said, "The crisis is not over. Over all, the condition of our communications networks is improving, but serious outages remain, particularly in New York, New Jersey, and other hard-hit areas.” Genachowski added the FCC will continue to expect the unexpected.
