Radio's largest advertising category continues to be the bright spot of the U.S economy. Americans purchased more cars in September which helped to advance the economy 1.1%. Auto sales climbed 1.3%, after a 1.8% increase in August. Cars and light trucks sold at a 14.9 million annual pace in September. In the November 5th issue of Radio Ink we interview car dealers from around the country about how radio is playing a role in what's turning out to be a banner year for the automotive category.
