Radio Free Europe Closes Moscow Office

Moscow has passed a new law ordering companies more than 48% foreign-owned to leave the Russian airwaves. Radio Liberty which a division of the U.S.-funded Radio Free Europe will air its final broadcast on November 10th. A large portion of the staff has already been fired.

Radio Liberty says it will moves some of its assets to the Internet and other new media platforms hoping to reach younger Russian dissidents. Radio Liberty is broadcast on an AM frequency in Russia. Read more about the story HERE
