$15K Fine For 25 Quarters Without Issues List

This Notice of Apparent Liability (NAL) goes to Gulf-California Broadcasting Co., licensee of KESQ-AM in Indio, California. The commission says the station was missing 25 consecutive quarters of issues/programs lists when the agents inspected the station back in February. All quarterly issues/programs lists were missing since the Commission granted the station’s renewal application in 2005. Management informed the agent that KESQ-AM "had only recently discontinued a Time Brokerage Agreement but that the TBA operator was also unable to locate or produce any of the issues/programs lists for the license term.
