"It Was Not A Secret Meeting"

Following up on our stories yesterday about an unpublicized gathering of high-profile radio executives meeting to discuss digital strategy, Hubbard Radio CEO Bruce Reese met with Radio Ink yesterday after the meeting concluded. Reese told Radio Ink the get-together was not a secret meeting, and that this group has no decision making authority and is not a legal entity. It's a group getting together to gather information about digital strategy because they are not big companies with big research budgets. "Anyone who's asked to participate has been allowed to join us," Reese said. The group has been meeting for four months and will continue to meet at times when everyone can get together.
