WXPN Philly GM Roger Lamay Elected To NPR Board

A 30-plus year broadcast veteran, LaMay joined WXPN in January, 2003, and is responsible for the overall operations of the station including fundraising, programming, and marketing. During his tenure, WXPN forged a long-term partnership with NPR and NPR Music. LaMay said, “As manager of a music station, it’s a rare honor to serve on the board. I look forward to focusing on the considerable contribution that NPR makes to our country’s music, arts, and culture.”
LaMay previously served as GM and news director of Fox29/WTXF-TV in Philadelphia, where he created "The Ten O’Clock News." While at Fox, he served as a WXPN policy board member for five years. He is a past president of the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and a national trustee.
