Clear Channel Donates Airtime to 9/11 Nonprofit
Clear Channel Communities, the community engagement division of Clear Channel, and MyGoodDeed, the 9/11 nonprofit that annually organizes the federally recognized 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance, announced they will team up to again observe the anniversary of 9/11. Clear Channel will participate with millions of dollars in donated media, including radio airtime, digital billboard placement, and employee engagement.
Beginning on August 20, and running through September 11, 2012, Clear Channel will air tens of thousands of on-air public service messages across its 850 radio stations nationwide and through the iHeartRadio digital radio platform. People can choose to volunteer, donate to charities of their choice, or simply dedicate time on 9/11, or another day, doing something good for others. Additionally, the “I Will” campaign will appear on a series of Clear Channel Outdoor Americas digital billboards across the U.S. from now through September 11, and will highlight the diversity of tributes.
