Cumulus vs. Clear Channel in Toledo

We'll see how the Rush vs. Huck and Hannity vs. Geraldo competitions play out in Toledo as Cumulus takes an AM that is now simulcasting sports and flips it to talk using a lot of its own network content. The call letters are WLQR-AM and the new lineup will feature a lot of the talent Cumulus wants to roll out against Rush, Beck, and Hannity across the nation, touting a softer tone.

And, in a clear shot across the street, the Cumulus press release says, "Talk Radio 1470 will be a communicator to the audience we serve, not a dictator of opinions. Toledo deserves a better class of Talk Radio and Cumulus Media is going to give it to them.” Clear Channel's WSPD carries Rush, Hannity, and Glenn Beck.

Geraldo and Huckabee both get a spot on the new talk station, along with Imus, Dave Ramsey, Mark Levin, John Batchelor, and Red Eye Radio.

The complete lineup will be as follows:
6a-9a Imus In The Morning
9a-12p Geraldo Rivera
12p-3p The Mike Huckabee Show
3p-6p Dave Ramsey
6p-9p The Mark Levin Show
9p-1a The John Batchelor Show
1a-6a Red Eye Radio

Talk Radio 1470 will also continue to be the home for Detroit Tigers baseball and Bowling Green football and basketball.
