WRKO Picks Up Option Year On Howie Carr
Entercom's WRKO in Boston says it has exercised the option on Howie Carr’s contract, keeping the longtime radio host on WRKO for the foreseeable future. Carr, who anchors weekdays 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., has been with WRKO since 1994. Market Manager Jeff Brown said, “Howie Carr has been a lynchpin for WRKO for years and we are thrilled he will continue to be part of the best talk radio in Boston."

You missed the best part of the story. From today's Bostonherald.com, where Carr is a columnist.:
Reached for comment, Carr said, “I’m very disappointed. I was hoping I’d get parole. But there’s only two years left on my bit and I now know the exact day I’m leaving. I can do this standing on my head.”
