One Houston Station Sells For $5 Million
The call letters are KHJK-FM in LaPorte, Texas, but for Arbitron's purposes, KHJK serves Houston -- market number six. Larry Patrick (pictured) sells the station for $5 million cash at closing to Mike Novak's Education Media Foundation. The 100,000-watt signal was one of two spinoffs Cumulus was required to make in the market; there are also two spinoffs in Kansas City.
