(AUDIO) Huckabee Discusses New Show
2-9-2012
Yesterday, Cumulus announced it was rolling our Mike Huckabee, with a new 3-hour long-form talk format available to stations April 9th. The show will air in the Noon to 3PM spot which has been dominated by Rush Limbaugh for the past 23 years. Huckabee is also a conservative talker who has run for President but tells Radio Ink his show will be about more than politics. In our interview, Huckabee also talks about how the show came about, what the show will consist of and why he has a love for radio.

(2/10/2012 11:45:10 AM) Hopefully, Huckabee can mitigate some of the spewing, foaming hatred that oozes forth from Mr. Limbaugh and those who want to share in his fortune by emulating him. Rush bears a great deal of responsibility for the abominable shape of our political discourse in this country. The stations that cheerfully run him share in that blame. Here's hoping hundreds of stations will replace him with Huckabee. |

(2/9/2012 3:07:32 PM) Is there any chance that Radio Ink could use a photo of Rush Limbaugh the way he appears today? Fat and ogre-like? Please...the photo above must have been taken at the end of his most recent diet just before his most recent marriage. He's put the weight back on and the hatred he has for anyone who expresses views the opposite of his has distorted his face with rage. Pictures of Rush Limbaugh the way he really looks today abound on the internets. |

(2/9/2012 1:54:29 PM) Cumulus and smart programming decisions? John Dickey couldn't program his way out of the silk stocking he was born in but they are the best at "me too for less" I think Huckabee is great, it's a shame he has any affiliation with Cumulus. |
