Federated Media Indiana Teams With Start-up Social Radio
Social Radio and Federated Media announced Monday they will be bringing a completely new online radio experience to listeners in South Bend and Fort Wayne. Active Rockers WRBR and WBYR will be the first stations to launch with Social Radio’s personalized listening platform which they say is part Pandora, part Google Analytics and part Facebook.

Listeners want great content that is more relevant to them. Advertisers want ad targeting. We saw Social Radio as offering a solution to both while improving our ability to what we do best – make great local radio.”
Social Radio’s platform creates a unit of content called a SongCast. Social Radio delivers an individualized stream of music and station content to the listener. That stream can be programmed by the station or completely influenced by the listener – or anywhere in between. The goal of the platform is to enable a Radio station to give each listener more of what they love best about that station.
