Mary Quass Honored by Country Radio Broadcasting

NRG Media President/CEO Mary Quass was honored with the CRB’s Tom Rivers Humanitarian Award. The intent of this award, given at the discretion of the Country Radio Broadcasters Board of Directors, is to recognize an individual in the Country Radio industry who has displayed a magnanimous spirit of caring and generosity in service to their community.

Quass told Radio Ink this award means a couple of things to her. "Really the award should go to all of the great broadcasters that I have had the opportunity to work with. They are the real humanitarians. The heartbeat of every good broadcaster is the desire to make a positive difference in the lives of the communities they serve. I am particularly humbled to receive this honor from the Country Radio Broadcasters. I started my radio career at a country radio station, and a country station was my first purchase (KHAK A/F).  Winning is about providing a great product and that means having a product and a station that cares."

NRG Media consists of 45 radio stations throughout 4 states in the Midwest. The headquarters for NRG Media is located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
