Lawson Takes Oversight Of CCR/Hispanic
January 31, 2011: Clear Channel VP/Programming, Hispanic Division Jim Lawson assumes oversight of the company's Spanish-language stations with the departure of SVP/Hispanic Radio Alfredo Alonso.
Lawson, who previously reported to Alonso, has been in his current post since 2005 and before that programmed Clear Channel's KFMD/Denver.
Alonso joined Clear Channel in 2004, after leaving Mega Communications, which he'd co-founded. He earlier launched the Radio y Musica publication and also held posts at Spanish Broadcasting System.
