FCC Sets Agenda For SC Ownership Workshop
February 17, 2010: The FCC's Media Bureau has set the agenda for its previously announced Columbia, SC, workshop on media ownership -- part of the quadrennial media-ownership review.
The February 23 workshop will be divided into two panels -- a TV panel from 1:45-3:15 p.m., and a radio panel from 6-9 p.m. The radio panel will be moderated by Steve Waldman, a senior adviser to FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski, with panelists Citadel/Charleston, SC, Market Manager Jim Beard; South Carolina Hispanic Chamber of Commerce President Evelyn Lugo; Miller Communications President/CEO Harold Miller; WCRE-AM/Cheraw, SC, owner and President Jane Pigg; and Glory Communications owner Alex Snipe.
The workshop will be held at the South Carolina State Museum, and the public will be invited to comment after each panel discussion.
