Alpha Names Hadfield Director/Engineering

December 2, 2009: Marty Hadfield is the new corporate engineer for Alpha Broadcasting and director of engineering for the six-station Portland, OR, cluster. He'll oversee the engineers and remote team, as well as transmitter sites and the "massive project" to bring the stations into a single state-of-the-art facility.

Hadfield is a 30-plus-year engineer who's worked at Entercom -- where he was VP/engineering for 17 years -- Fisher in Seattle and SRO Broadcasting.

"Given the number of high-priority projects ahead of us, I can think of no better person to lead the charge than Marty," Alpha President/COO Bob Proffitt said. "His technical knowledge and expertise are unmatched and his leadership skills are exactly what we need to take us to the next level on the technical front."

Alpha, founded earlier this year, owns KXTG-FM, KUPL-FM, KINK-FM, KUFO-FM, KXL-AM, and KCMD-AM in Portland.
