FTC Names Journalism Panelists

November 18, 2009: The Federal Trade Commission has released the agenda for its December 1-2 workshop on "From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?" and among the speakers set to appear are News Corp. Chairman/CEO Rupert Murdoch and Huffington Post founder Arianna Huffington.

Scheduled panelists also include representatives from NPR, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, E.W. Scripps Co., the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Yahoo, Google, the National Newspaper Association, the National Association of Black Journalists, Hearst Television, Associated Press, ThomsonReuters, Propublica, Blogher.com, NorthwestCitizen.com, the Knight Foundation, the University of Chicago, the Association of National Advertisers, the Center for Digital Democracy, and the Media Access Project.

Among the topics are "The State of Journalism Today and Tomorrow," "Emerging Business Models for Journalism," and "Online Advertising and Consumer Demand Trends."
