L.A. Looks Good For Grupo Radio Centro In Q3

October 27, 2009: Grupo Radio Centro, the Mexican company that LMA's KXOS/Los Angeles from Emmis Communications, reports revenues of 191.2 million pesos in the third quarter. That's down 5.3 percent from 201.9 million pesos in the same period last year.

GRC said the lower revenues were down due to lower advertising revenues by its clients in Mexico with the weakening Mexican economy, partly offset by ad revenue from KXOS. GRC began selling ad time on the station in April.

Expenses were up 55.5 percent, to 178.3 million pesos from 114.7 million pesos, with much of that due to expenses connected with KXOS, as well as reclassification to Q3 of some expenses connected with the LMA.
