Imus Debut Brings Big Ratings To FBN

October 7, 2009: Citadel Media's Imus in the Morning launched its new cable simulcast on Fox Business Network Monday, and it attracted big ratings, Mediaite reports. Imus brought in 177,000 total viewers in the 6-9 a.m. ET slot. The most recent previous numbers for FBN showed a business-day average 5 a.m.-9 p.m. ET of 21,000 viewers.

The top TV hour for Imus was 7 a.m., when Premiere Radio Networks host Glenn Beck was a guest. Also on Monday's show were Sen. John McCain and Rolling Stone writer Matt Taibbi.

The show attracted an average of 73,000 viewers in the 35-64 demo, says Mediaite, and 9.000 in the 25-54 range.
