Beasley Goes Mobile With An iPhone App
September 22, 2009: Beasley Broadcast Group has introduced a new iPhone and iPod touch application, iRadioNow. The free app offers mobile streams for 36 of Beasley's 42 stations, including WPOW/Miami and WXTU and WRDW in Philadelphia.
"From AM to FM, to digital and online, to streaming and interactive, and now to our new iPhone application, we've stayed on the cutting edge," said Beasley Chairman/CEO George Beasley. Radio thrills me as much today as it did in 1961, when we bought our first station."
The new app streams in MP3 and AAC and lets listeners search on call letters, station names, and other terms.
