GA Radio Hall Of Fame Names Legacy Inductees
August 3, 2009: The Georgia Radio Hall of Fame has named its 2009 legacy inductees.
This year's posthumous inductees are Marcus Bartlett, for his years at WSB-AM/Atlanta; Bob Carr, for his work at WQXI (94Q)/Atlanta;Al Ciraldo, for his work at WCNN/Atlanta; Don Elliott Heald, for his work at WSB; Bill Hoger, for his years at WFOX/Gainesville-Atlanta; H. Randolph Holder, for his work at WGAU/Athens, GA; Mike Kavanagh, for his work at WSB; and Chuck McClure, for his work at WRCG and WCGQ in Columbus, GA.
The Elmo Ellis Spirit Award recipient will be JB Fuqua of WGAC/Augusta, GA.
Additionally, eight Career Achievement inductees will be announced at the Hall's annual dinner and awards program, set for October 17. The nominees include Lincoln Financial Media President/CEO Don Benson; Larry James, formerly of WDAK/Columbus, GA; and Davis Broadcasting/Columbus' Greg Davis.
