McCoy Programs WKQI/Detroit
DETROIT -- July 30, 2009: Michael McCoy is the newly named PD of Clear Channel's Top 40 WKQI (Channel 955) in Detroit, moving in from the same post at sister station WNCI/Columbus, OH.
CC/Detroit OM Todd Thomas said, "Despite being a New York Yankee fan, Michael's a good dude. His experience and track record in the CHR format, as well as his knowledge of Clear Channel's market history, makes him the perfect choice to take the reins."
At WNCI, McCoy helped move the Dave & Jimmy morning show into syndication, and it's now in eight markets. Before heading to Columbus, he programmed WHKF/Harrisburg and WLAN-AM & FM/Lancaster, PA.
