Yangaroo Granted Patent On Digital Distribution

TORONTO -- May 5, 2009: Yangaroo has a fresh new U.S. patent for its content distribution system, covering its method of distributing digital content, such as music and advertising, to selected individuals over the Internet while the content uploader controls the conditions of the release, such as a date or time. In the method patented by Yangaroo, when the selected individuals log in, they are given access to the content if the release conditions are met. Yangaroo's Digital Media Distribution system now has U.S. and Canadian patent protection.

"This grant of our second U.S. patent underscores Yangaroo's status as the founding inventor in its sector and adds substantial value to the company," said Yangaroo President/CEO John Heaven. "Our focus on leading through innovation continues to bring the best and most advanced solutions available to our customers. As a result of our program of actively protecting our technology, both the U.S. and Canadian patent offices have recognized our inventions as patents. We will continue to be vigilant in protecting these valuable intellectual property rights."
