Tate, Coley Join MMTC Board
WASHINGTON -- January 30, 2009: The board of directors of the Minority Media and Telecommunications Council has two new members, as former FCC Commissioner Deborah Taylor Tate and DC telecommunication attorney Maurita Coley are elected to the board.
Tate served on the FCC from 2005-2009, and while on the commission helped establish the Access to Capital Conference in New York, designed to encourage media ownership by women and minorities.
Coley is a partner at the law firm of Davis Wright Tremaine, specializing in media regulation and business transactions. She has also served as SVP/Network Operations & Programming and SVP/Legal Affairs.
